A profile is a summary of demographic and technology information concerning a specific AS400 site location. It's the compilation of all the interviews conducted at the site location and any information gathered from other sources, in an easy to read format. AS400-List.com creates a personalized profile format just for you that can be viewed using almost any commercially available software.

A site is an individual business location that may be either a standalone business or part of a larger enterprise. Our interviews are performed at the site location level, as opposed to the enterprise level. This means that AS400 Database may, for instance, include 450 different site profiles for locations within the Ford Motor Company enterprise. The listing for each of those locations will include installed AS400 hardware, software and service profiles, as well as a comprehensive list of on-site technology contacts and decision makers.

Our names are generated by direct mail, telephone, fax and email solicitations, conference attendees, opt-in email and snailmail solicitations, direct telephone research as well as from previous software or hardware purchasers, contests participants, magazine subscribers, conference attendees, user group members, list trades and other sources.

You will need up to 1 Meg of free space on your hard drive for every 4,000 sites that you order. This number reflects only the size of the ASCII file, the space you will ultimately need depends on the software you are going to use to view, edit and manage your list.

Our list is only a list, you will need a software package to view, edit or print this list. We are familiar with most standard database, spreadsheet and word processing programs and we will try to assist you in importing our list into one of these over-the-counter programs. However, we recommend Contact Plus for this purpose. If you would like to use Contact Plus you can get an unsupported shareware version on the internet at www.contactplus.com for free.

Our list is only a list, you will need a software package to view, edit or print this list. We are familiar with most standard database, spreadsheet and word processing programs and we will try to assist you in importing our list into one of these over-the-counter programs. We ask however that you please read the manual supplied with the software you are using for instructions before you contact us. If you still need technical support and we will be glad to help you in any way we can. If you are using a custom designed database we will be unable to assist you, please consult with the designers of your database or the documentation they provided.

Once you have filled out and submitted the Request for Site Count Form on our Count page  to let us know what you are interested in and we have discussed your specific needs, AS400-List.com will contact the owner of the list you selected to get the actual counts for you. Once you have your final quote you simply contact your AS400-List.com representative and confirm that the quote is what you want. As soon as we get your confirmation, your quote will turn into your order and we will begin processing it immediately.

We are familiar with most standard database, spreadsheet and word processing programs and we will assist you in importing our list into one of these commercially available programs. You will be asked by the project manager responsible for your account, what software you are planning to use to manage this list. Based on the information you provide we will be able to determine which format is best for you.

The AS400 database includes many of searchable fields to best target the ideal AS400 customer or market segment for your business needs. Every list has a different list of fields.

If you have any problems and need technical support, make sure that you have already registered, then fill out our Technical Support form. Include your Registration Number and send us your problem. Try to be as complete as possible and describe the problem in detail. We will respond ASAP, usually within 2-3 hours. You will need up to 1 Meg of free space on your hard drive for every 4,000 sites that you order. This number reflects only the size of the ASCII file, the space you will ultimately need depends on the software you are going to use to view, edit and manage your list.

AS400-List.com warrants that each site that you received is currently in business and that the address we provided for that site is deliverable by the US Postal Service for a period of up to ninety (90) days from your date of purchase. Every site on our list is an individual product and upon the return of any "Non Deliverable" sites within ninety (90) days from your date of purchase, in their original format and field structure, freight prepaid, AS400-List.com's entire obligation, responsibility, or liability and your exclusive remedy shall be a refund the purchase price of that "out of business" site or a replacement for that site at our discretion. 

Research List: Because this list is a "research" list we are unable to offer a Warranty of any kind on this list. We may however, consider buying back any verified sites that you are able to get from the list or additional information that we don’t already have.

WHAT DOES "OUT-OF-BUSINESS" MEAN?

Simply, that you can not contact that company. If you are mailing and you get an envelope returned as undeliverable, if you are calling and you get a wrong or disconnected number and if the company has moved and can not be located, we consider all as out-of-business sites.

WHAT "REPLACEMENT" GUARANTEE DOES AS400-LIST.COM HAVE?

We guarantee that every "site" on every list we offer, except our Research List, is a company using an AS400 and is still in business. AS400-List.com also warrants that the data will be free from defect in accuracy and correctness for as long as you maintain your licensing rights to the data. Every site on our list is an individual product and upon the return of an inaccurate site, in it’s original format and field structure, freight prepaid, AS400-List.com’s entire obligation, responsibility, or liability and your exclusive remedy shall be the replacement of the inaccurate site with an additional site, one (1) site for each site you return. In the event we are unable to replace that site within the original order specification we reserve the right to replace any inaccurate sites with an additional sites outside the original order specifications.

We need you to register your list to insure that you received the correct list, that the data arrived without any mishaps or errors, to activate your Warranty and to become eligible for your free Technical Support. We also need you to register your list to protect your investment in your list as well as ours. We, and the owners of the two other lists we market, make our information available for your use under very specific terms that we need you to agree to. The information we make available to you is proprietary, is of a sensitive and confidential nature, reflects the original research of AS400-List.com and our partners and is protected by United States copyright laws. The list is very valuable and many of our competitors would love to get a copy of our list and market it themselves so every list we sell is seeded with a few fictional sites to detect unauthorized use. We have put a tremendous amount of work into our list and it is our only business so we protect it vigorously. Records of all list sales are maintained by AS400-List.com to protect you as well as us. If a competitor were to get a copy of our list they would be able to sell it to your competitors for very little because they have no investment of time and money in the list.

As with all electronic media and software, once opened the "list" may not be returned, however, any sites that are found to have any errors can be returned. See returning data on our Warranty page.

Authorization to return any data must be obtained from AS400-List.com in advance. If you wish to return any defective data to AS400-List.com you must obtain an RMA number. To obtain an RMA number simply contact us at AS400-list.com and tell us what you would like to do. We will promptly supply you with an RMA number. All packages sent to AS400-List.com without an RMA number will be sent back.

The detailed guidelines for returning data to AS400-List.com are on the Warranty page. They are very detailed and the closer they are followed the easier it will be for us to process any returned data and the quicker we can send out new sites.

This is a hard question and it doesn't have a short answer. For starters, accuracy of all data elements and deliverability of the names and addresses by the postal service are two very different things. Overall, the files we present here are easily 90-95% deliverable, meaning that the named companies or individuals are at the addresses or telephone numbers indicated. These files are constantly being updated and corrected using public records as well as telephone verification. However, selected, targeted list segments, such as specific business types or geographic locations, may be significantly more or less deliverable than the files as a whole. Hospitals certainly have more stable addresses than retail outlets. As an example, selecting "retail electronics", whether a company's primary business is selling computers, home appliances, radios and TVs or car stereos may be an open question. Also, selections such as employee size and Sales Volume ranges are ESTIMATES based on reported and derived information and whether a company is actually doing a 100 million dollars in sales, twice that or only half that, may be a function of how the owner wanted to look on his Dun's report. At the same time, a list selected using Revenue of over $100,000,000 will respond more appropriately to offers tailored for that income range than one selected at $1,000,000.

With our Premium List you can expect to get an overall accuracy rate of 100%. This list is perfect for those situations where you absolutely, positively have to have perfect information. With our Deluxe List you can expect to get an overall accuracy rate of over 80%. This list is perfect for those situations where you need good reliable information but absolute perfection is not required. With our Email (Opt-In) List you can expect to get a 90%+ deliverable rate. With our Email (Email Only) List you can also expect at 90%+ deliverable rate. With our Compiled List the overall accuracy rate varies depending on your list selections. This list is perfect for those situations where you need to get your name in front of as many prospects as possible, as quick as possible and perfection is not required.
